“Early” this morning Mariela stopped by and asked if I’d help Corina pick out a Canon zoom lens, since she was looking at them. I spent a few hours with Corina talking about gardening and other things, having tea and rice cakes. She had really good homemade jam that someone had given to her. Around one o’clock we went to The Summerhouse in town to meet Mariela, and had lunch there. They had a really good potato/tomato/chicken platter I tried. I did a little more gardening afterward, and read my book further. I had to occasionally retreat into the house, as it rained from time to time (despite the sun).
