Anime Boston

The weekend flew by very fast. There were tons of people at the con, especially teenagers. Loads of people dressed up in their favorite costumes, and some were quite good. The best I saw was Chewbacca, though it’s not exactly from an anime. Among the things we did were go to Greg Ayers’ panel, Opening and Closing ceremonies, shopping in the dealers’ hall, autograph signing with the Ayers’ brothers, screening of Ouran High school Host Club, panel with all the voice actors, and AMV (Anime Music Videos). We missed the Hentai dubbing panel when AY and I left the con and tried to come back. There was a Red Sox game going on and all the parking was taken up, so we had no choice but to go home. We got lost on the way there and back, but we managed to get back safely. One of the voice actors, Tom Wayland, managed to upset quite a few locals by wearing his NY Yankees jersey. Apparently he did voices for Pokemon and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, along with another actress named Veronica Taylor, who did the voice of April and Ash. I used to be a big watcher of those shows when I was little. I used to pretend to be April whenever we played TMNT in preschool. A few familiar faces were at the con that I remembered from ACEN, including Travis Willingham and the Ayers brothers. Unfortunately AY did not get one of her costumes finished in time, so she went as Suitengu from Speedgrapher.
