Cape Cod

AY, LH, and I got up very early this morning in order to have as much time possible in Cape Cod. We went to Province Town, otherwise known as “P-Town”. We parked the car and walked around town, especially through the east and west ends. AY and I went beachcombing for shells, and found a lot of cool stuff, including an empty crab shell. There are a lot of local crafts shops there, and studios. We went into a glass studio to look, and their stuff was pretty impressive. Also we ended up in two different jewelry stores, one called Galadriel’s Mirror Inc, and Spank the Monkey. Both places had great prices and beautiful stuff, we all went a little shopping crazy. LH and AY used my babies, the Elan 7E and 40D since they forgot their own cameras. There was an art gallery we went into, which had an interesting selection of work. There was an exhibit of high school students’ work which I wasn’t particularly impressed by. They could’ve done a better job representing them, as the paper was thin, there were roller marks from the printer on the images, and they were pixelated. Some of the prices on the permanent pieces ran around $2000-4000. We ate pizza and peanut butter cup ice cream for lunch, at a place called Spiritus Pizza. By mid-afternoon we were pretty tired, so we headed back towards the hotel in Quincy. When we headed out for dinner, we stopped by LH’s mom’s office to meet her. She treated us to supper at Great Chow Chinese restaurant. We were up pretty late, and last minute ordered Corona and some sort of sorbet ice cream with wine on top of it.
