De Haagse Hogeschool

The minute we got up this morning, we were informed the town roads would be closing due to some event. On the way out, we drove by barricade trucks and military police on bicycles. G chose Pole 14 in Katwijk for breakfast, which is a strange outdoor and indoor makeshift restaurant. During the winter, they completely break down the walls and equipment for storage. A military police helicopter paid us a visit by flying very low over the beach during our meal.

G and I continued to Den Haag (The Hague), competing with some horrible drivers. We went into De Haagse Hogeschool (The Hague University) to visit. G will hopefully be graduating from there this year. I am looking to attend this school when I move. The campus is decently sized, with nice architecture. We visited one professor in the department of International and European Law, who clarified the program for me. Some conversion needs to be done from the studies I did in high school and college for acceptance, but it shouldn’t be a problem. He emphasized the study is for people who don’t want to become just attorneys and judges, or study local law. The study looks beyond that timeline and material wise. It’s possible with prior classes and work experience I may be able to cut the study down to three years. The earliest I could probably start would be September 2012.

When we finished with the school, we drove over to Sassenheim. G and I have been looking at this area to live/buy in. It’s fairly quiet, and is located close to the highway. Living there would put us not too far from family/friends. When we got home, we played with Nijnok the bunny and made dinner. When moving time comes around Nijnok is coming along. I ended up with a headache post-dinner, so I was in bed by nine pm.
