Gardening

I’ve been enjoying very nice weather this season. It’s unseasonably warm since last autumn, and continued into spring so far. People have been enjoying the beach here in Noordwijk for several weeks (not swimming though). Every year I keep a garden, specifically for raising vegetables. This is challenging at our current house, since the backyard is entirely lined with stone. I’ve had to learn to adapt to container gardening and other challenges. I’ve learned a lot about vegetable gardening since I started several years ago. My in-laws have especially taught me a lot about gardening.  I’ve expanded to a greater variety of vegetables and plants this year. The weather has been especially hospitable to my hobby. It’s been hovering around 12-20 C (53 F to 70 F) so far, with lots of rain and sun. Every day I can stand in our yard and see something changing in the garden. Something seems to get bigger or put out flowers. Can’t wait to taste my plants 🙂
