Mom
On 6 April 2014, my mother died. This loss was a total surprise, one that our family could not anticipate. Within hours of finding out, we booked tickets back to Chicago for her funeral. I spent the first week arranging her funeral with my family. Most of the second week was dedicated to spending time with family, especially with my father and our dog Daisy. Our family really came together during this time, and everyone was very supportive. One of my best-friends even came all the way up from Arizona to support my family. Outside of the funeral, G and I tried to relax as well. Being back in Chicago is always an opportunity to see familiar places and food. Still hard to believe some days my mom is gone.
